As soon as we can find a suitable house to rent, we will be moving to STT. Our budget is between 1,200 to 2,000 per month. Ideally would like a fenced yard, as we have pets we dearly love.

Fenced yards are hard to come by.

I know we could buy and put up a fence, but we want to live and look around first. There is something somewhere, that will work for us. Always the optimist lol...

Put an ad in the housing wanted section on Craig's List for rental with fenced yard

I'm a little concerned that you're waiting to find a rental before moving and just want to point out that it's a REALLY bad idea to commit to a rental sight unseen. Best idea is for someone to come down first, stay somewhere short term and look at all the possibilities in person with the rest of the party (and the animals) following when an acceptable place has been found. It's almost impossible to find a month month deal where houses are concerned and it could be disastrous to commit to a year's lease without first seeing a place.

1. We have brokers looking for homes as well.
2. Duh... you are so right. Only an idiot would rent sight unseen. (Thank you for clarifying that I am NOT an idiot.) That is good to know!!
3. Just putting feelers out here. (Word of mouth is so under used)
4. Last of all this is not my first time in STT. My business is soon to be based out of STT. Imagine that...... I actually might know what I'm doing here. Wow!!!
5. Hope you have an awesome day!!!:D

Linda: That is the snarkiest answer I have seen in a long while. If you had said that you had lived here before, it might have helped. Good luck with your house hunt and your new business.

I do apologize if I sounded that way. I must admit I was offended that someone chose to label me as not having a clue as to what I should do. However, that does not make it acceptable the way I responded. A sincere apology is given to all.
