I have a large house in a safe secluded upscale area just east of Frederiksted called Estate Little Lagrange. I never need to lock up here. The upstairs being offered has three bedrooms, two baths, a very large living room with vaulted ceilings, kitchen and laundry room. Outside there is lots of of parking space. The main bedroom and living room have air conditioners with plenty of ceiling fans everywhere in the house. There is good air-flow throughout the house as well at this elevation so usually just ceiling fans are needed on hot days. Plenty of closet space is provided and there is a shipping container close by near the driveway for extra storage. The cistern is about 50,000 gallons and full of clean water. I've used it for drinking water for many years without a problem. I also have a solar powered deep well as backup. We use solar hot water and have many solar electric panels on the roof together with state-of-the-art storage batteries that run the cistern water pump and other essential electric needs like refrigeration so when there's a power outage it's not a problem. The house sits about 700 feet up on a hill facing West and the unobstructed views of the ocean and Frederiksted 2 miles west as seen from the front porch, master bedroom and living room are breathtaking. I use the downstairs and have four dogs who get along well with other dogs and people. They have the run of my four plus acre plot and many more acres of surrounding rain forest. There are no neighbors to speak of up here other than another tenant living in a small house quite a bit further up the hill. Included are the use of a new heavy-duty large capacity washer, a new large capacity refrigerator and new gas range/stove. Tenants are also welcome to the carambola from the 3 trees along the driveway.
Sorry about putting $1,900 amount in the subject line and $2000 amount in the ad. I had copied and pasted the ad from an old one I ran. The amount I'm asking for is $1900. I want to add that I just discovered a very large wicker couch in good condition as well as a leather couch have been left behind for the use of anyone who rents the place if they so choose. The owner didn't have enough room for them in their new place.
Having taken some time to look at other ads here I've decided I need to be willing to negotiate rent. Please try to remember that the rent covers the cost of electricity, water and broadband Internet along with general caretaking when you make an offer.

I made a mistake running this ad and showing the place initially two months ago before the last tenants had moved out and before the place had been properly refurbished and repainted. Since then the whole interior has been repainted and all the faucets and many other fixtures have been replaced and repaired making the place like new again. Anybody who looked at it before and who might still be interested should take a second look and see the change plus I've decided to lower the rent to $1650 a month hoping for a long-term agreement.
Again rent includes electricity since I use the same meter, Dish Network satellite and broadband Internet also pets ARE welcome.
I need to point out that I live at the end of a well graded dirt road with a somewhat steep concrete driveway. The tenants who just left lived here 14 years and were constantly using three regular cars in and out of here. I'm sure my road was partly what discouraged people who came to look however putting a positive spin on it I have never had a problem with intruders which was precisely why my last tenants never wanted to leave.
The place looks great, were originally looking toward Christiansted or east. IThe rent is still out of our price range, at least at first. We are mature, quiet and not into the drug scene. We have two cats who have lived with us in STX before. They did great. They stay in the house.
My husband is a gifted ASE certified auto tech. I am obsessive house cleaner, inside and out. I have my own business that will be run outside of the house. Maybe we can work something out on the rent. We both have secure emloyment and excellent island references.
We are looking for long term rental (many years). We still own a small home stateside and have no desire to purchase property in STX. Stx will be our primary residence. We have called a lot of friends and have the word out that we are returning and looking ofr a place to rent.
