Short term owner financ. for vehicle?

Hello there again good people! I am just making the move from disability back to work as a realtor. As such, I am operating on a shoe string until I go to court regarding "the truck that crushed me" in July. At that time, I will be settling with an insurance company that has already offered me a decent settlement....but not enough for 8 years of my life.

In any event, I have found it never hurts to ask, especially on St. Croix. Upon licensure as a realtor, I will need a decent vehicle to bring people around in. I have an island car, but it just won't do very well in this capacity. I am seeking a small SUV or mid sized sedan, and can pay approx. $300- per month for it until I go to court (or sell a home!).

If anyone had a vehicle that they are looking to sell and would be willing to allow for payments for May, June and possibly July (it may take a few weeks for the law firm to cut my check), I am seeking an unorthodox 'rent to own' on such a vehicle. I have a good amount of insurance for liability that will travel with me.

I would appreciate any leads on this. If there is nothing that meets the need, I can get through, however I am trying to start this new period of my life doing things right. Unfortunately, once on disability, the base pay barely supports the very basic needs of life.....certainly not that of a newer car.
