I am moving to STX the end of january and have gotten quotes for shipping my Jeep wrangler...the lowest is $3,500!!!! This is outrageous, even the allied rep thought so. This quote was from Shipping from VA. I am wondering what shipping companies are out there who may be cheaper... I am sending everything else USPS

Is is significantly cheaper to ship directly from Miami? Is so it might be worth a roadtrip...

Is this quoted price the usual ballpark figure?

What are 2001 Jeep Wrangler/Soft Tops/AC, 5 speed, 90,000 miles going for there? Maybe it's cheaper to sell mine and buy another?

thanks in advance! 🙂

I saw a place on Caribbean Craig's List that specializes in shipping Jeeps from Florida. Not sure how much. Also there seem to be a lot of Jeeps for sale on St Thomas right now if that helps. Island cars generally have few miles on them, and from what I have seen the prices aren't bad.

When we moved 4 years ago we drove from Kentucky to Miami and shipped from there. We even took a couple of days "vacation" on South Beach. We used Tropical and were pleased with the service we received. We frew out of Ft. Lauderdale.

I would recommend selling your Jeep and buying one down here.

I live on St. Croix and bought an '05 Jeep Wrangler X with 25,000 miles on it last September for $13,750.

Thanks,
Doug

If you can't part with your jeep... It is a lot cheaper and easier if you can...and I am in the process shipping my Chevy Silverado... Tropical is an option... but I'm gonna go with Crowely (northern Fla site)... both have a Miami, Fla (but Crowely has two locations, one easier to ship than the other) and you can catch a plane near to both there...

Try using seastar lines in lauderdale. I have used them to ship several cars and some heavy equiptment and they were great. Also try calling Berry at Flemings transportation. He is the best and can solve any problems that may arrise..
