ROOMATES WANTED!!!

hi i got ur email, i wanted to know what is your reason to moving on the island.

I will be arriving on the island October 3rd. I'm 24, female, also fun and outgoing. Any chance you may still need a roommate then?

Mark, I think you have hit every board and resource for looking for housing.

You're going to have bring your budget up to live on island.

I would suggest getting more than one roomie as you're willing to pay so little for an apt. You had better get about 6 roomies for the amount of money you want to spend and realize that money budget of yours will get you a 1bd in town with no view.

The school must be paying you for peanuts or you don't really realize how much it costs here to live. Perhaps this move is way out of your housing budget.

Aww, c'mon, Mark, Tippi is just trying to be helpful. Finding housing for less than $750 p/p per month is going to be difficult...she's just trying to make you aware of that so that you don't become one of the 'statistics' for people that moved here and then moved back within six months....don't be too hard on her, 'K?

Helpful would be "hey, you can live in my house for free!"

Antagonistic would be "hey kid, don't follow your dreams, teachers don't get paid enough to live down here"

Mark...Have you even considered STX? They need teachers there. I know you can find a very nice apts/cottages to rent furnished for $800.00. They aren't on the beach, but they are in nice areas. STX is island living at its best. Just a thought. "mg"

There's frugal living and then there's sponges...and I think wanting to live with me would be a "sponge"!

FYI: I don't do roommates. I hope you're not teaching spelling Mark...Oh that's right you're teaching Physical Education.

I suppose I'd be angry as well.

I plan on moving to St Thomas on Sept 15 and I am interested in having a roommate. Let me know if you still need on I saw some people had already sent you messages but if we have more then one roommate it could make rent a lot easier. I just turn 26, I am from San Diego, I plan on attending school on St. Thomas, and I plan on bartending well out there I have 5 years of high pace experience.
