Hello, My name is Ryan and I'm 18 years old. I just graduated highschool and am planning to find work and a room mate(s) in the USVI. I currently live in Michigan and am anxious to get out of the state and the cold weather. I am looking for anyone guy or girl that either has an appartment, or is also planning to move there. I know the rent in the usvi is expensive, and would like to split it with at least one other person. Thank you for taking the time to read and hope to hear from you soon.

I sent you an e-mail....what part of MI are you in? I lived in MI for 29 years before I moved here...Lake Orion area (about an hour North of Detroit...20 minutes North of the Palace of Auburn Hills).

haha bukeyes suckkkk!!!!! GO W O L V E R I N E S .....................................same here...i'm just putting the word out that I will be needing a roomate(s) in a few months since I'm working in michigan until I save enough to make it down there.
let me know when you will be going down there and if you still need some roommates.
Here's another question I have for everyone.... is it pretty easy to find a job in the usvi if you don't have any education other than highschool? Are there many entry level positions?

Yep, lots of work to be found with just a high-school diploma...I mean, you may not get rich, but you'll make enough to survive...most likely as a server in a restaurant or bar or as a mate on an excursion...

Any advice to where would be a good place to stay or what I should do to get a taste of what its like to live there? I know everyone says to go grocery shopping and stand in line, go to the bank and stand in line, sit in traffic, but other than that, is there anything else? Also does anyone have any extra room in their apartment or house?

Ryan, an idea I explored which has worked out in my favor.. Since you are not sure on the exact time frame of moving down there. Look at getting in with the Marriott or another hotel chain that has a resort down in St Thomas. Then you can either have some experience in the hotel industry, and or make a transfer down there and already have employment before you get there.
I am doing that plus I am going down as a Liscensed Massage Therapist. So between the both I think I am in good shape. Yes I will be looking for a roommate for sure. I have a tentative leaving date of Oct 15th to make the move. I will keep you posted.
I will PM you my email address if you want to keep me posted. I guess I can live with a Wolverine..haha! It will keep the excitement alive come November.
