I had a fellow move in a couple weeks ago...he's slept here only one night...so I decided to call him to make sure he was OK...turns out he moved in with a lady, but didn't mention it to me...he's coming by tonight to get his tings and leave me the key..which leaves me with a room-mate situation again...here was my original post:
Since toomorrow is the first, I have to pay all the rent myself, so, if you are on island and are looking for a place, gimme a ring! Page 30 of the '09 phone book, Martin Fredericks. (viphonebook.com) Or, if you just need a place for a PMV, I can probably work something out. I just don't want to pay all of March myself. Unfortunately we can't have any pets or kids, but you get the better of the 2 bedrooms, with the nice view and the A/C and the wall full of closet space and a doorwall out onto the deck, where the grill, table, hammock, etc. is. We're at the end of a dead end, so it's nice and quiet, just above Limetree, so it's conveniently located, I own 2 bikes and a car, so I'm sure we can get you around until you have something (if you don't already). . I'm 40 years old, I get up at 6 am, fall asleep on the couch most nights before going into my bedroom at some point in the night . You can also use my PO Box for your address.
Ready to move into! All you need is a toothbrush! (and rent, of course! Haha!) My last 3 room-mates (before this last fellow) have all been female. The most recent was 23, the one before that 24, the one before that was older than me (isn't that a nice way of putting it, Ann?!? Haha!). Ann and I got along great and were very comfy room-mates, the next one, we just had different schedules...and the last,....well, we just weren't compatible as room-mates.....who needs a place? Gimme a ring! (based on move-in date, we will pro-rate the month's rent at $25/day) I am an alcoholic, attending AA for the last 4 years, so I don't drink, but I don't mind if you do (just no parties, please). I am a smoker, too, so if that bothers you...this is not the place for ya!

Heck, the guy only slept here one night! Out of the 2 weeks he paid for! He found a woman already and moved in with her...just didn't tell me until the 28th...I would have preferred to have known earlier, as I turned others away that would have taken it....dagnabbit!!

My bags are packed. I'm ready to go. [ Thanks to Peter, Paul & Mary ] If you have any strings up your sleeve you can pull, or hats full of rabbits I'm there. I know the economy stinks and all but, geeze, PBS can't have cutbacks... Can they?

Hey, I at least close the door when I'm tuning up the Hog at 3am! (har-har!)

Here's the real scoop on my bad luck with roomies...first was AnnNYPisces from the board...we got along great, lived together for over a year, but she has since bought a boat and moved onto that...so I advertised here and got a girl that was coming down to work at Havana Blue...our schedules were just completely incompatible, as I go to sleep around 11 and she got home from work anywhere from 11:30 to 3am...I get up at 6am and she didn't get up till about noon.. We're still really good friends...just can't share an apartment together. The next girl was coming down to work at the Marriott, and we made a go of it, as our schedules worked...but our personalities conflicted. No hard feelings...so then I got a guy to be my roomie...and he moved in, didn't stay the first coupla nights, stayed the 3rd night, then I didn't see him until he came back, ten days later on the 28th of Feb and told me of his new living arrangements with a Lady he met here....so, I am, once again, in need of a room-mate! I'm a really good guy to have as a room-mate...really! I am! Haha! Been here over 11 years, so I know lots about island living and I have lots of contacts in any business area, I have friends in all the right places here, I'm a mechanic, so I can work on your car if you need it, I'm an alcoholic, but I don't drink anymore (AA), so I won't be having any parties here, I have an above average IQ (if IQ tests are to be believed), so I can carry on an intelligent conversation, I go to the Post Office everyday and my roomie can use my PO Box, so he/she doesn't even have to go pick up mail or packages...I can go on and on about what a great guy I think I am (opinions may differ! Haha!), but, if anyone needs a place, even if it's for a PMV, gimme a shout...the daily rate works out to only $25 per DAY! Which includes wireless DSL, satellite TV, landline, waterand electric. Whatta deal! Right above Limetree Beach (Bluebeard's Beach Club) in Frenchman's Bay...

I have a new rommie coming down the 8th...gonna pick him up at the airport...gonna stay at least thru the end of March, possibly longer...I'll post this room again when it opens up again...
