Rental + St. Thomas

Hi, I am looking at working in St. Thomas in mid-Aug. I will be coming with my husband, and two very small (2 lbs. and 7 lbs.) dogs that are very well behaved. They do not chew, or destroy anything.

I am looking for a nice rental. Does anyone know of a rental that is reasonable? I would be there 3-6 months.

Thanks,
Cindy Liles RN

reasonable is a litle bit broad - take a look at some of the previous posts using the search tool - it might give you a better idea of prices etc.

Cindy: I am assuming that you are coming as a traveler. If so, ask your travel company to help you contact those who are currently here. The travelers have their own network of living spaces, car rentals and more. You are going to have to rent a house or an apartment attached to a home, most likely. I don't believe there are any condos that allow renters to have dogs.

You can expect to pay between $700-$1000 for a 1bdrm, $1000-$2000 for a 2bdrm apartment. Or, since you say you're only staying for 3-6 months, maybe you could look for a short-term rental(averaging $800/studio, $1000/1bdrm), as it may be difficult to find an apartment for that short period of time, especially with pets. Because most landlords here want you to sign a one-year lease. Hope this helps.
