Hello good people~! This is an update on rentals available on St. Croix, all being owner rented through a cooperative of sorts.
Some changes have come up, and now photos are available for all to save you time in contacting the specific owner seperately.
They are:
Valley, Mount Welcome. Directly up from Gallows Bay, 1/3 miles from Old Christiansted. Completely renovated and fully furnished inside
and out. Large studio, full kitchen, brand new twin bed, sheets and towels provided as 'starters' until you are fully moved in.
Clean, hurricane ready, two generators, 18,000 gallons of water in reserve. Large house with only two apartments. Includes furnishings, window protection in the event
of a tropical event, small dining table, love seat, wonderful arm chairs, new windows, bath with shower (no tub) but good sized room. 14' celings. patio overall 60 feet long, furnished,
many very 'rain foresty' gardens including fruit and one hundred orchids. All sits on 1/3 acre. Priced lower as owner would prefer to get right person
rather than higher rent. Base rent: $600-. Deposit: $300-. Water and Electric included. A/C available, but exact cost of increased electric will be requested....ranges from $10-$50 per month, depending on use.
Superfast satellite internet, connected by LAN, $10 per month (out of $100 monthly bill). TV, DVD player and CD player included. Expanded Direct TV with all Showtime and HBO: $15 per month (out of $75 per month cost).
Grill pit going in this summer for two apartments.....gas grill, table, chairs and umbrella, all set on a native stone foundation. Cost will be included, no additional charge except to split new gas container
to be split with other apartment. Very private, respect for others a must. Month to month. 5 day grace period for rent. After that, owner will need to meet with you regarding capacity to pay. NO pets unless
expressly permitted by owner. Move in cost: $600 rent, $15, TV, $300 security. Total: $915.00. Please note: 2 parties interested however not deposit yet placed. Suggestion: If this might work for you, call upon reading or it will go as soon as one or both parties call to make committment.
Mount Solitude, 8 miles east of Christiansted. Truly the most spectacular views of Green Cay, Buck Island, PR, STT, STJ and the BVI. Cool and well maintained pool. Outdoor bar and grill area.
Each unit completely furnished inside and out. Several units available now. They go quickly, so please do not hesitate to respond if interested. ALL require a full month's security and first month's rent prior to moving in.
1. The Cottage: One very large bedroom, floor and walls made of native stone, polished for floor. Beautifully furnished. Decent kitchen with lots of storage, however
no built in oven. Private grill on private wrap around deck. Study area, TV area, storage room, solid as....well, it is solid. Very. $1,500, not negiotiable (ororiginally $1,600-1,700). No pets. Huge common outdoor area. Two apartments and the cottage
responsible for caring for that area (i.e. picking up garbage after a weeks group grill, removing glassware, etc.) It is a must see for the single professional
who wants privacy and serenity at home. Safe, secure, electric gate, HUGE generator/automatic start up if power fails.
2. Very, very large studio, King sized bed, bureau, TV/entertainment unit...all in the best taste. Looks out on pool and Caribbean. Has a private patio that leads eventually to common area. In hallway leading to bathroom, tons of storage space.
Fully tiled bathroom. Lovely, airy. $1,000, possibly some negotiation based on strength of potential tenant and job/income, good rental history etc. NO PETS. This is a geat space and supremely off the beaten track, yet within one mile of restaurant/shopping/gas.
3. One bedroom apartment. Same as above, ample storage, sliding both glass doors with outer wooden doors open direclty to pool, view from living room and kitchen! LARGE kitchen, geat design, new furniture. $1,400
per month. Utils included unless electic exceeds $500 (it never has so I don't know what that would be)
Bugby Hole above Ha' Penny beach: The entire first floor of a gorgeous house with pool and view, goreous gardens. Giant living room, huge bedroom, access to laundry, great kichen and walk straight out to the pool Complete kitchen, complete dining area and as always, photos avialable.
Lower than comperable prices at $1,600 per month and a negotiated security. Perfect for being in a very private and serene place, yet within ten minutes of Christiansted and mid island. Available: Now.

Hello and good day!
I am wondering if you still have the apt that is located in Gallows Bay , 600 plus 300 dep?
I am coming August and will be working for a doctor and the place sounds great! How far is it from the Mall at Sunny Isle?
can you get transportation from there ?

Hello Yonanda! Thank you for your note. Yes, the apartment is open now, however I think is will most likely be rented in the next week or two. In the event that it is not, by car I get to center island within 15 minutes. There is public transportation that runs by the bottom of the hill, and it goes to center island, but I do not know the exact schedule or route.
It is a really great little apartment. Are you on island? If so, you are more than welcome to come see it. If not, if you will send me your email address, I can send photos. If you decide that you truly do want it, I have one person to contact as a "first option" person, but I kind of doubt he will take it. At that point, with the first month's rent and the half month's security, I can hold it for you as it is only three weeks away.
