Professional Couple Seeking Long-term Red Hook Rental
My wife and I are looking to rent a nice condo or house in Red Hook, St. Thomas. We run our own web marketing & online publishing business and would like to be “on-island” so that we can connect with our existing – and hopefully new – clients. We are a quiet, friendly, and professional couple in our mid-30s who have spent many a-day in the VI’s – so we know what we are getting into.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
· Decent amount of square footage (1000?) so that we can set up a small office.
· 2 bedrooms (one for office?)
· High speed Internet access (a must!)
· Phone line (2 would be ideal)
· In-house washer & drier
· AC and windows with screens (?)
· Allows for 2 small indoor cats (would consider pet deposit if necessary)
· Open-air deck with a decent view
· Some lockable storage would be great
· Off-street parking for at least 1 car
· Safe & secure area
· Walk to, or at least close to town
· Affordable rates ($1000 - $1500 USD)
We would prefer 6-month term (and possibly 1 year or more for the right place) and would be able to occupy late May / early June.
As a side note (and possible benefit), here is a bit more info about our business…
One is a small tourism publishing company that has multiple online publications promoting the Virgin Islands. The other is a consulting & marketing business where we help island businesses with building their websites and effectively marketing them online. Also, my wife and I are both professional travel photographers, which may come in handy. We may also consider providing some type of villa management / provisioning services for the right deal.
Please email me at relocate@vipages.com or PM if you have any leads ASAP. I will follow up within 1 business day or less.
Thank you,
John & Heidi
Hello all,
Still looking. We've got an agent in Red Hook, but would appreciate any leads you guys can provide. Serious and cash in hand 🙂
Cheers!

Hello John and Heidi,
Just checking, but do you understand that having high speed Internet access is possible, but is much more expensive than stateside? You also will need a generator for those expected losses of power and all electrical and computer and cameras stuff tends to deteriorate faster in the humid weather. You might want/need air conditioning which can cost upwards of a thousand dollars a month if you use it full time. Maybe less for a small space (example for one room). Just my two cents.
