My husband and I are moving to St. Thomas in about a week. We are looking for an apartment/condo/house to rent. We do have one older, well-behaved cat. We would like it to be located somewhere on the North or West sides, and in a safe area. Does anyone have any information on where I could find listings? We have looked in the Daily News and haven't found anything as of yet.

On the left side of the online Daily News under Special Supplements you can find an online copy of the Island Trader, which is the second best way to find rentals. The best way is word of mouth, wherein you temporarily stay someplace like Villa Fairview and then ask everyone you encounter if they know of any available rentals.

Saw your post. We are almost done renovating a small one bedroom house on the northside (Mandahl). It's fully furnished, includes cable, high speed internet and local phone. Utilities are separate. Rent is $1350 and it requires first, last and one month deposit for move in.
