PMV/Vacation, Discounted Rates, STX

Wtth regard to the difficult times we are all experiencing in the area of finance, I have asked PMV/Short-term rental owners to collectively provide discounted rates to afford people a vacation or visit for a potential move at rates that might make it possible for people to come, enjoy, learn and get a well needed rest. In response to this, I will post any and all rental owners responses to assist people in planning, and just possibly making the impossible possible once more.

Today I received my first response. It is from a lovely and large 1 bedroom apartment with pool and view just up from Halfpenny Beach on the south shore, approximately 9 minutes from Christiansted. The normal in-season rate was $225 per night, and concierge services available by request. This was already lowered given the economy, and today I was authorized to post multiple weeks at a hugely discounted rate, that of $650 for an entire week.

The weeks available for this are:

March 8th-14th, 2009
March 15th-21st, 2009 (these two weeks may be rented consecutavely by the same party)

April 22nd-28th, 2009

May 10th-16th, 2009
May 17th-23rd, 2009

June 21st-27th, 2009

July: All weeks available and this price will be honored.

August 16th-22nd

September 6th-12th, 2009
September 20th-26th

If more availabilities become open, and as the time approaches, this may be repeated in the fall of 2009. Please do not hesitate to contact to get on a 'wish list' for possible cancellations and/or time this fall that we cannot yet predict.

I am a realtor, a friend and a supporter of 'doing the right thing'. Again, as other landlords respond, I will post those responses as well. Although I am a realtor, no fee is ever charged to any person renting this lovely place to be. Also, if a week is booked prior to your call, the best we can do is to suggest another week.

We are all in this together, and doing what we can to make things work in a win/win manner.
