Hooray! We made it to the island and found an apartment in 4 days! Now we desperately are seeking transportation. Using a rental car right now. Really want a Jeep Wrangler with a hard top, automatic, less than $9000. We need to find one this week. We've already exhausted all avenues of media and retail. Go to Budget Car Rental. They sometimes have Jeeps available for sale. Always a deal to be had there.

BTW, who is committed to the Jeep?
If you or your son is willing to consider other options, check out the Suzuki Grand Vitara. They are pretty strong and all over the island.

If you're still looking for a Jeep, I'm selling a 1998 Wrangler, but it is a soft top. It has an automatic transmission and about 30K miles. It's been a great car for me. All it's needed is new front brakes because of the steep hills here. I'm asking $5500- for it. I leave island on 10/1. If you'd like more info, please email me.
