interior screen is cracked. Everything works on phone. Paid 400 one month ago. want 200.

no, apple warranty doesn't replace "accidental" drops. So broken screen iphones are worth very little.

that's ridiculous. spending $400 on a phone should get you something! or one would hope.

Get a screen on ebay and replace it.

iPhones are only $199 new now. So I have to assume at $400 you bought a bigger hardrive? Either way a cracked screen has got to greatly reduce any value. I would think for the $35 bucks from ebay for a replacement screen I would figure out how to change it myself.

I would never buy another iphone!! No warranty and you are not allowed to purchase insurance. Also, Apple won't ship here so it was a huge pain to get it back to them only for them to tell me I was SOL. Anyway, never again!! I am the least handy girl on the planet so I have no idea how to fix it. Looking for someone on STX to repair it. Any suggestions?? No exterior damage at all. Interior screen is cracked so you can only see half of the screen.

good luck jay. I replace laptop parts and solder tiny chips on circuit boards on a regular basis. Replacing an Iphone screen was ten times harder than any previous repairs i've ever attempted. Even have done it once successfully, i think the best i could hope for in the future is a 50% success rate.

The $199 is the discount for signing a contract. the 8GB model goes for ~$400 if you're not signing a new contract.
