Moving large dog to STX
I know there is already a thread but I cannot find it to save my life. Have a 100lbs American Bulldog I want to ship down. Any recommendations??
Thanks
Here's a thread on it:

Limited planes with the capacity for large kennels. I suggest you reserve your flight ASAP when you find one.
bulldogs can be an issue
Thanks for the replys. It is definitely proving to be a challenge.
The bulldog being a bulldog is the biggest issue:
Delta will not accept American Bulldogs or any snub-nosed breed at anytime. Period. Even in their PetsFirst option.
From United:
All Boston Terriers, American Bulldogs, Pugs and breed mixes
United will accept Boston Terriers, American Bulldogs, Pugs and mixes of these breeds according to the following conditions:
Puppies of these breeds which are between eight weeks and six months of age and are less than 20 pounds (or 9 kg) will be accepted at any time of the year.
Adults of these breeds which are older than six months of age and/or weigh more than 20 pounds (or 9 kg) are subject to the following restrictions:
May 15 - September 15 – None will be accepted
September 16 - May 14 – These animals will be accepted as long as the forecasted temperatures along the itinerary are expected to be 85 degrees Fahrenheit (29 degrees Celsius) or lower at the time the animal's flight(s) is scheduled to arrive and depart. Animals with connecting flights may also be kenneled during the day to avoid the heat.
(Also United requires reinforced carriers for American Bulldogs. Check their website for guidelines.
American won't accept bulldogs at anytime of year.
So your best bet (apart from a charter) may be United, but not in the summer. During the other months, you could try to book an evening/early morning flight into STT or SJU and then do Cape Air or Seaborne from there. Although I heard someone say they recently had trouble with Seaborne or Cape Air and dog shipping...cannot remember which one.
