Mill Harbour must be a huge place . . .

five out of the 19 PM's were from there, and the rental rates seemed to be the lowest of the replies, I think my turn off was the bar on site.
But that's just my preference, I'm sure if you're into that it's a great place, in fact twenty years ago, for me, that would have been convenient amenity, or if on vacation.

I'm just curious, what is the largest rental complex (outside of a hotel/motel) on the island, anyone know?

I'll join the crowd, as my hubby (born in Sleep Eye raised in Litchfield) & I just purchased our second @ Mill Harbour. We live here, and love it! Smuggler's Cove is both a restaurant and bar. If you have not rented as of yet, feel free to contact us. Our rental is completely redone, 3 bdrm, 3 bath, w/ 3 galleries overlooking the Caribbean & our lagoon.

I've been on vacation, so apologize for the delay in responding to your post. I'm actually still on vaca, but decided it was time to get back to work. I have a small apartment complex 3 miles west of downtown Christiansted. We rent both short and long term, but not vacation rentals. Our niche is more people relocating to the island, like yourself.

You may have seen our website, since I have an ad on the forum, so at the risk of being redundant, please take a look at http://www.virginislandsrentals.com for lots of pictures, information, rental rates and availability.

I expect to have a spacious two bedroom, two bath, fully furnished unit open for the first of Dec. The rate varies according to length of stay, and we are currently offering it at $1350 for a 6-12 month term. Dish Satellite TV, wireless Internet and garbage removal on site are included. Electric and water are additional, but already on, so you don't need to deal with it.

If you are looking for more upscale, try Villa Madeleine. All units have their own pool. Also you may like The Reef, it has a golf course. You can see condo rentals at St Croix Property Mgmt website and also Coldwell Banker VI website.

...oops, forgot Coakley Bay. Great views and pool, but people eating at the restaurant have a view of you...

I probably should have mentioned we will rent for a shorter term, too. A very popular length of rental is about 3 months. That gives you a chance to get to know the island a little better, get a job, if applicable, and decide exactly what part of the island is best for you. It's not a long commitment, but it's long enough you aren't living out of a suitcase while you explore.

The 2/2 apt. for 3 months would be $1500 per month
1 or 2 months at $1800 per month
Minimum 1 month rental

We have a wonderful, very private 2/2 home with amazing views of Sandy point and the cruise ship pier and a nice pool, gated and secure, that is available for $2200 a month. It is not for sale, so you would not be disturbed by customers looking at the house. I would be happy to send you photos and other info. We also have a nice 3/2 on the east end with a pool, Buck Island views, also very private and secure - for $2500 a month.

A big thanks to everyone for your posts and PM's, I'm sorry if I did not reply directly to you, as I said, it was a bit overwhelming, yet very positive.

After careful consideration, we've tentatively found a place that had everything we were seeking. We will be on island Dec 1st, and hope the unit is acceptable, however, it's hard to be certain without seeing it first.
