Hey everybody,
I am moving down to STT Feb 1st. I am looking to rent a room for a couple months or weeks as i get familiar with everything and find a serving or bartender's job and a permanent place to stay. Any response or feedback would be appreciated

Wow! That's pretty much the busiest month of the season. Why did you pick that time to move?

well i am a server and i wanted to make sure i come in and able to get a good job. I've been a server for 5 years. You think i'll have an issue?

Sugar, that will be the MIDDLE of the busy season. I'm sure you could get lucky, but most restaurants hire in late October and into November. I'm not wanting to discourage you at all, but it's normally easier to find a server job as well as housing at the beginning of the busy time rather than slap in the middle of it.

My brother, a friend, and i are moving down January 1st, but only until the end of april. Another friend of mine is coming down for the month of january so we were looking for a 2 bedroom as well as a common area with a pull out. Could work out perfectly if you need something for Feb 1st. Where are you looking to live? We are planning to go to the red hook area
