We are moving to St. John the end of July and would like to purchase a 2004 to 2007 Jeep Liberty. If you have one for sale or know where I can get one please let me know... Someone told me it may be cheaper to buy in the states and ship to the island. Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Buying in the States and shipping down is more hassle than it is worth, IMO. Buy one that's already on island...there are loads of 'em...check the Trader first http://islandtrader.vidaily.com/, then the Daily news, then the dealerships...I'm sure you'll find what you are looking for down here...most likely on STT...

Thanks for the info! I will check out the island trader for vehicles.... Can anyone tell me exactly what the definition is of a "great island vehicle?" I see that listed quite a bit for vehicles... Is it:
A) Looks awful, but will get you from point A to point B. 😉
B) Same as above but, may not get you where you want to go, when you want to get there (has a mid of its own). 😮
C) Would only last until you get to the other end of the island (if you're lucky)...:-X
D) Need to keep a midget in your backseat to push you up the hills, but will coast down very well...*-)
E) Has everything but brakes...:-(
F) Leaving island and hope to dump this piece of crap off on any sucker... I'll tell ya what you want to hear....:$)

In my experience, "A" is most people's description of "Great Island Vehicle"...also small and easy to park and good on gas...but reliability is the main thing.
