I just don't get that "just bring your toothbrush and suitcase" long-term rental mentality here in the island's. Short-term, yes. But, long-term? Why do y'all invite people to make it just as easy to leave in the middle of the night.
I've long-term leased several executive homes, from $1900/month to $2600/month. Each one I had to block off a space in their storage or cabinets for all those things left that we wouldn't want to use. Anything but furniture and large appliances, can be brought to the rental by leasee in a vehicle and purchased on island.
I prefer my sheets, heavy gauge flat wear, my non-faded Art in real frames, real dishes, not crap. Long-term rentals, if furnished, IMO, should not be set up as short-term vacation rentals. This just baffles me every time I see that in a long-term ad.
