Good afternoon,
My wife and I have been living on STX four several years and are now moving to STT. I start my new job the first week of January and could use some help from the message board to find a place to live by January 1st.
We are in need of a one bedroom, furnished, cats welcome, off street parking, with washer and dryer.
We would pay more for a place that had an updated bathroom and/or a pool.
We are prepared to sign a one year lease and our budget is flexible.
If you have a place that may meet our needs please send me a PM or email. We will be on STT this Saturday and Sunday to view places.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you check Craigslist, they have a bunch of them. It would also be helpful to know where on the island you would like to live like North, South, East or West.

Here is an apartment owned by my Brother in law. It's located near Hull Bay on the Great Northside of the Island.

Nevermind - just read you needed furnished.
There are a bunch in the island trader right now - all furnished. I count 8 under $1500mo.

Looks like I need to be more specific here. if you have a place to rent that is furnished and is cat friendly let me know. I have been using island trader, Craigslist, realtor.com, and the paper for a month and still have nothing. I will spend up to $3000 if the place is nice, ideally less.

WOW, I'm flabbergasted that you couldn't find not one place out of all the places listed on Craigslist or Island trader, especially if you are willing to spend $3000.00 for a one bedroom apartment. I have seen several one's for rent on the Northside Area some furnished and some not for well below what you are willing to pay. If nothing else, rent an unfurnished place and call a place like rent to own and rent furnishings. Now the cat could be a problem. But other than that, you must have very specific taste.
By the way, most of the places listed with rental managers or realtors, will not allow pets. For them it's easier. I try to avoid them and rent directly through the property owner, some if not most are willing to negotiate. Also, depending on where you want to live, try driving out that particular way and look for rental signs posted on the road. I know on the Northside, there are numerous apartments for rent, some listed and some only with signs out to the road. My aunt's apartment is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath fully furnished with washer and dryer and it sat for 8 months before she finally dropped the rent from $1800.00 with utilities furnished as well to $1700.00 a month or without utilities to $1500.00 and she finally found a tenant and it is a really nice apartment with a killer view.

Easier to find unfurnished - rent the furniture if you don't want to buy it.
Also, after you left, we were saying that you should change your question - instead of "do you accept pets" ask the other questions first and then tell them about your two, lazy, declawed, indoor cats.... offer a pet deposit if necessary.

I'm sure the OP appreciates the apartment links.
The owners or realtors who post these photos, please, when you take you photos of the bathroom, put the toilet lid down. It is more appeasing to the eyes 😉

I realize some people want to help but only help if you can read and retain. Not one of the CL links matches our criteria. Thank you but STOP. I clearly stated, if you have a place, hit me up.
This message board has lost it's usefulness for people who live here. Other than a place to bitches, talk shit, bash business, or for people who have left to feel like they still have a voice.

I found 8 rentals that are furnished, wll allow pets and range in price from $1300 for a 1bed/1 bath - $3000 which includes tastefully furnished 2 -3 bedrooms.

Super nice lady with a two bedroom with an ok view of Hull Bay partially furnished, I saw beds, dressers, couches - pets allowed - cool northside - above Neltjeberg for $1400mo. Cool place too, island character. I looked at it but can't give up my view.
