We are considering leaving behind our statue "Terp Chaos" on St. Croix, if we can find the right place to donate it to. It was handpainted by an artist in Maryland for Maryland's 150th anniversary and was part of the "Fear the Turtle" sculpture project for local artists.
It is about 3.5 feet tall and is primarily fiberglass, so it isn't too heavy. The brightly colored paint job is actually a series of chaos theory strings. My husband can explain it better!
We think a unique spot for this turtle might be in a decorative sports bar/restaurant (sticking with the university mascot theme) or perhaps in someone's garden or at a school or something. We're not too hung up on it being valuable (it really isn't) but it is a fun and colorful piece.
If anyone knows of a good location or is interested let me know. Thanks!
