Ahhhhhhhh good to see VIPD HARD at work solving the 17 STX murders with yet more check points........................
yeah i read about that this am,it's almost too much, and the bike cops will be handing out parking violations as well, it's the first week of the month and the only time they enforce the rules but only if they don't know your car,if they know your car they leave it alone.
Over the last 2 months I have been stopped at the ck points 5 times, license, reg, insurance card. They should put a mark on your windshield after the first time.

Very true!
I remember the coast guard gave me a "courtesy examination" or something similar many years ago.
You got a sticker, so the next week, some other CG was bored & stopped me in a different place.
I pointed to the sticker & they let me go.
Yup, why not a mark on the windshield or something??
my dad has been pulled over 8 times since the checkpoints started. always by the same cops - not like his car is hard to recognize - it's the one with the HUGE yankees insignia on the hood, lol. they said we just happened to be the 6th car...come on! thankfully, one of the officers said "let the yankees car through" last time. we have too little police officers on this island to waste their time with this. I'm sure the same people are able to go through and obviously, by the posts above, a lot of the same people have been pulled over. they won't mark the car, b/c they're looking for things other than insurance.
Heard on the radio this morning that police raided a home in Estate Glenn searching for guns and drugs.
Guess they found drug paraphenalia, pipes, drugs, and bulletproof vests.
The officer spoke about the collaboration with the FBI, Feds, Marshal service, etc. Was good to hear that SOME real police work is being done.
Noah
that is good to hear. of course in the Judgement Day section of the Avis, all but one was released without prejudice. the one got 8 months. so, even if we catch the people and try them, the prosecution can still f*** up and not get these guys put in jail.

you mean like the sticker they put on it when you have to show proof of insurance and register it???
