2012 Project Homeless Connect Announcement
Good Day to All,
The Department of Human Services and The Interagency Council on Homelessness will be hosting its annual Project Homeless Connect. As a member of the committee for PHC I would like to share with you our mission. This particular event connects the homeless to service providers who can manage access to medical aide, benefits, and social services. PHC will be taking place at the Rudolph Shulterbrandt Agriculture Complex on St. Croix. It is scheduled for Friday, October 19th 2012 from 9am to 3pm. We are looking for volunteers for various roles such as escorts, servers, distributers, etc. Our volunteer training workshops will take place on, October 10th and 17th at 6:00pm in the Herbert Grigg Home. We ask for members of the community to offer their service and kindness towards the well being of the many homeless individuals on our streets. Volunteers are crucial to our success, so if unable to attend, please share this information with your family, and friends. This is also an opportunity for high school seniors to jump start their volunteer hours. If you have any further questions please feel free to call Ms. Brenda Walwyn of DHS at (340) 774-1166. We appreciate your efforts in supporting us on this special event.
Best regards,
