My name is Scott, and I've been living on STT for the past year. Perhaps some of you know me, during my island life, I've been a server at Shipwreck Tavern. At any rate, I'm looking for investors to assist me starting my own business, one in which has a proven track record, and is definitely in high demand here on the island. I am so certain it will be successful, I'm willing to pay back this loan within one year, plus 50% interest. I understand that is an absurd amount of interest, but in the end, will be worth every penny. I would be willing to consider multiple investors as well, but the minimum investment would have to be $2,000. If anyone out there is interested in a short term, high return investment, please contact me, either through this web page, or my e-mail. Thank you very much for everyones time, and consideration in this matter.

Its not an absurd amount of interest its an illegal amount of interest. At 50% that would be higher then any state's legal usury limit even for a private loan. I don't think that would stand up in any court, even here if someone had to take you to court to be repaid.

Also by not talking opening about what you are doing it just makes it seem shady. If it has a proven track record why not talk about it? If something seems too good to be true it always is.

Hello there! If you really have a great idea, or something with a proven track record in the Caribbean, please do talk about it. I would suggest, however, that you visit the local free business consultation group (the initials change from island to island, however it is advertised in the paper when they have lectures on sucessful business planning, creating a business plan, selling it or getting it funded, etc.

I opened two businesses within the past two years. One is for interest (psychotherapy), the other, for profit. I did a tremendous amount of homework first, have a one year, 3 year and five year plan along with projections, and in its first year, it exceeded projections by 63%.

Please do watch out for scammers, quick money makers, etc. If it is proposed to you from some interest off island, get a rating on them. Research them. Just a suggestion,

Best wishes,

Dan
