hi, my bestfriend and i are moving to st. john in mid-january and will be needing a place to rent. if anyone knows of anything in the range of $1000-1800, or if anyone is looking for two roommates please comtact me at my email. we would like to be within walking distance of Cruz Bay. my friend has lived in st. john before and i have visited twice and we are ver excited to get back to the island. hope to hear somethinig soon. thanks!

Try staying at Tamarind Inn to start out, and then finding a place to live either through word of mouth, or by checking the bulletin boards at Starfish and Connections. It's a lot easier to find a place to live once you're here.

I read your message and I am thinking of moving to that area as well as one of my good friends lived there for 2+ years......I would love to talk to you all and get your input on what you have found out and vice versa, maybe we can find something we can afford between three of us? When are y ou looking to move?

hi ryan. thanks for the message back. we are planning on moving around january 15 to the first of february. my friend i'm going with has already lived on the island for a year in 2005. you should email me and we should talk more about this. I am definitely going by Feb. 1st. where are u living now? i'm in north carolina. let me know something. thanks, Kristi

Hey! I was just researching about St. John, and came across this page! I'm from NC too, and i'm moving to st. john in may!! I would love to hear from yall, once you are all moved in and have figured out the job situations......good luck!!

Hi Joy. what part of n.c. are you from? i'm from boone but i currently live in wilmington, at least for 2 more weeks. it would be cool if we could meet when u move down, and maybe i can help u with some of the things i need help with now, like a place to stay or roommates. plus it's always good to have some contacts in a place u are planning to move to. we do have some contacts because my bestfriend who is moving with me has already lived there before for a year, but none of them know of any affordable places available right now. plus i think u just really have to b there to find a place. well, keep in touch with me and i would like to meet u if u move to st. john. bye, Kristi

Hi Kristi,
Im fairly new to the site. My buddie Ty and myself are also moving to the VI. We arrive on Feb. 5th. Were not sure exactly on the island yet, so to start off were going to stay at the Villa Fairview on STT for a few weeks or so until we decide where exactly we would like to live, and even what island. Anyway let me know were your at on the roomate situation.

Hi Kristi I was researching the VI and read that you are living in Wilmington. I live on Topsail Island approx 30 miles north of Wilmington. My boyfriend and I are planning on moving to either STT or STJ but really do not know much about either. Are there many job oppurtunities on STJ?

Hi! I have a room with two twin beds and in dire need of two roommates.
The apartment is located just past the Serendip Condos and close to town.
The full month's rent is 1600.. Let me know if this strikes your fancy =]
