Just discovered the Mantis Shrimp and I am in awe.
And here is a nice song that pays homage to this strange creature:
LF: Not sure if we could use this creature in any way to fuel our campaign for the prohibition of shrimp consumption... not sure how it plays out philosophically. Certainly doesn't create the illusion of the shrimp as victim. But I think there may be something we can do with this if we get creative.

Oh I see them almost every day, have some pics of green mantis in STJ. You can hear them popping loudly underwater, pistol shrimps too. Some people in the aquarium hobby keep these fascinating creatures. Peacock mantis are beautiful but gonna be careful.

Hmm, ditch the victim push and go for fear?
"Eat shrimp and anger the MIGHTY MANTIS SHRIMP!..... the most vengeful shrimp of all!!!"
I'm not sure how that would play; we'd need some human casualty statistics at a minimum.

I don't see that would be a problem. We have at least one participant on this forum who's very good at throwing out undocumented statistical percentages with an authoritative flair; a few people good at PhotoShop; and certainly several with sufficiently vivid imaginations to take care of the basic creativity and well-placed media insertions.

We have at least one participant on this forum who's very good at throwing out undocumented statistical percentages with an authoritative flair; a few people good at PhotoShop; and certainly several with sufficiently vivid imaginations to take care of the basic creativity and well-placed media insertions.

I owned one years ago. Fed him small crabs. The force of those things- amazing. Wouldnt want him near my thumb!
