Synthetic Turf On Island???

We are wanting to adopt a dog from the HS. Its been 2 years since we put our pit bull Sadie Girl down after 17 years of companionship. She was literally like a child to me.... as are all my pets. So I think I am ready to welcome a new family member into our home. We dont have a fenced in yard but have a large patio. In busy season I will be away for 5-6 hours a day but in slow season I am working from home.

We will be able to take her out most of the time but I want to make a pet patio lawn litter box that Ive seen online for sale. I know I can make it much cheaper from pallets and have a game plan for all the drainage and stuff. Just need the synthetic turf for the top. Does anyone sell this in the VI??? Google shows nothing of course... I feel like its a longshot lol.

I know I could use real turf but thats going to end up being more messy I believe. Thanks in advance.

Synthetic Pet turf by the roll.

This is one of many when you Google.

Also, try Home Depot on island or online.

Sorry - Locally was the key word here.

I looked at home depot and they only have the thin cheap stuff that I saw. Stateside HDs have the good stuff but I didn't see it here. I am looking for someone locally.

I can have my parents ship me some from the states somewhat easily but if you've ever felt this stuff it weighs a TON so shipping is my last resort.

If you guys have a weekend trip to STX in the near future, what about adopting the sweet dog that Darrin posted about?

Most dogswill wait to go 5 hrs. unless puppies. If I am out all day as long as the dogs go in morning, they are pretty good to not go.
Why not try some of the gardening centers or synthetic turf used for golfing.
Don't know if that will work as never created one for any of the pets that I have ever had care of over the decades.
I know you rent so fencing isn't an option.
Let us know how it goes. Good Luck.

I can easily get 8 - 10 hours of wait time out of my three dogs.

My dog always waited 8 - 9 hours when I was working away from home. My neighbor would even come over to let him out and he wouldn't "go." He just waited for me. 🙂

Btw cargo generally ships by volume, not weight. You might call and check costs for shipping from the states if you don't find what you want locally.

Well my landlord changed his mind on a dog - kinda. At first he said yes then said 14in tall or less but "would rather I not". We are thinking of moving anyways - still north side - when lease is up in Jan and I will look for a place that may be a bit more dog friendly. So keep me in mind if you know someone with a 2bd 2bt place opening in Jan. We are the best tenants a landlord could have, clean clean clean and pay rent early. Actually I think I should get more than just my deposit back after the week of deep cleaning I did to this place. Was pretty gross when we got here.
