I think telling someone what they can and cannot do in the privacy of their own home is carrying things too far. What's next?

i think it is going way too far. i understand the walls are shared and if i read this correctly, the people suing have the holes where the smoke is seeping . and the people suing should understand that smells waft when purchasing a home with shared walls.

Sealing the holes would be a solution?

The holes are in basement probably for shared plumbing/foundation etc. may not be option to seal holes
