Yes, I did vote but I would not have, had a ride had not been provided and even then I wasn't sure it was wise or safe to be on the roads today! When I got there to vote, there was no line at Joesph Sibilly, there only were a few soggy supporters and the BOE staff.
I was fairly soggy, myself!

I sent the below e-mail to: Angel L. Bolques, Administrative Assistant to the Board of Elections because I belive these people have serious, delusional issues if they think lots of people will be out in this type of weather which by the grace of God, is not worse.

Subject: Primary on Saturday during a tropical storm?!!!!!

Dear Sir,

I think it is quite irresponsible and reckless on behalf of the Board of Elections to hold this Primary during the middle of a tropical storm and endanger people by having them driving on our roads in changing weather conditions. Especially when there is a chance of flash flooding and mudslides. You need to use the brains God gave you unless, of course you don't wish to have a big turn out for the Primary.
Good Grief.

I am glad they got it over with today. Barely raining on STX, wind knocked 3 of 20+ avocado's off of the tree. Maybe 12 mangoes from a 1/2 full tree.

And to top it off, they handed me a blue ballot!!! What a gift!!

Not a big turn out when there is not a single person in line waiting to vote!
From what I heard, this is true of many other places here in STT.
Did hear there was a fairly good showing at the Tutu Park Mall.

Another reason to vote out Donald Ducks Cole. He spoiled a measure to allow early voting even by one day, which would have obviates much of this low turn out. Thank you Kenny Gittens for supporting the right if the people to have early voting. I will vote for you again.

I kinda agree with Alana here. Having a primary [only] today, knowing that a storm was brewing ahead if time is irresponsible.

i agree at times the storm was blowing kinda heavy. not much in the end but still would have been nice if they had postponed it until next weekend.

Come on people...it was only rain. I was out Saturday morning driving around and from the amount of traffic I saw, it looked like a normal day except wet. Are we really that helpless that we can't go out in the rain?

it would have been better to be cautious. i remember a few years back we had what was supposed to be a cat 1 turn into a cat 3, Omar. it would not have hurt anything for them to have postponed it a week. especially since the primaries ( i hear ) were held early

we too went out to eat at one of the few places that we found open. did not drive that far into town, which was busy, but the few streets we were on nothing was open. glad the gallows bay area was open.
