Looks like we're geeting a new taco joint here in STX in the old Basic Butcher space. Good thing you cant get into Mirams on Wed $2 tacos anymore. Too many people and only a couple of staff. Too bad becase the food is AWESOME!!!!!!!!
Hopefully the new place is just as good.

Since Maria of the NEW Maria's Cantina was the cook at Miriam's who started the Mexican food there. The new place will probably be pretty good. Miriam is still using Maria's recipes. The chefs at the new cantina are from Merida and Veracruz so it should be great. Rumor is that their Taco night will be Tuesdays.

I was wondering if that was her. If one of the chefs is from Merida, there should be good "sopa de lime" a Merida staple.

Did Basic Butcher move or is gone? I don't see anything recent on facebook from them.
