Yeah, I understand the premise, but - wow, that is really a big operation to eliminate four people. I think there would be lots easier and less public ways that don't draw International attention.

More interesting is that Freescale is working on cloaking technology, the type that could hide a 777, read more here...

Eh, I'm not buying it. That article is badly written and cobbles together technology to draw an incorrect conclusion.

First, to quote directly from the article itself:

“Invisibility cloak is a poorly chosen term,” Thomas Way, associate professor of computing science at Villanova University, wrote to FoxNews.com in an email. “Invisible to what? We already have stealth aircraft that are invisible to radar (usually), but there is absolutely no way given our current understanding of physics that something could be made invisible to the naked eye… If that’s what they are claiming, it’s a hoax.”

The technology they're referring to is to fool tracking systems and radar, etc., not make a plane invisible.

Secondly, Freescale does have a division for RF Power transistors for aerospace, but that's not cloaking technology. I can see, though, how someone could make the mental jump that their power transistors could be used for that technology.

Third, and for me the hardest one to get past - how they could have installed all of this equipment in a commercial jetliner to make it "disappear" without anyone knowing - again that's a lot of people involved in a conspiracy that has no point. And if you're going to hide an airplane, why on Earth would you choose a commercial jet?

But this does add credence to the theory that someone wanted those freescale engineers to disappear for some reason. I just still have a hard time wrapping my mind around why they would choose this method.

Btw the Malaysians that reported a terrible noise the night of the disappearance make me wonder again about mechanical failure or explosion.
