Make some noise for quiet oceans
On Monday night, at a packed town hall meeting, nine-year-old Kaila Shaw bravely stood up and told the Mayor Dean Lambeth of Kure Beach, North Carolina, "Some things just shouldn’t be for sale!"
Kaila is just one of more than two hundred and fifty community members who came out to voice their opposition of mayor Dean Lambeth’s decision to support dangerous and destructive seismic blasting in the Atlantic Ocean, leasing out our coasts to oil companies and subjecting Atlantic wildlife to loud, deadly blasts.
Now we need you to join voices with Kaila and tell the world about the dangers of seismic blasting. You helped make 2013 a year without seismic blasts in the Atlantic. By making seismic blasting infamous we can do it again in 2014. Watch this video of the progress you’ve made and the work left to complete for dolphins, whales and our coastal communities. After you've watched, please share on Facebook or Twitter or by forwarding this email to your friends.
We expect the federal government to announce their decision on seismic blasting on February 21. Now is the time for all of us to stand up, to speak out, and make some noise. Together we can stop seismic blasting and end East Coast drilling before it starts.
But we need your help! Click here to watch and share our video that highlights the dangers of seismic blasting.

Help us take back our oceans. As Kaila said, "Some things just shouldn’t be for sale."
For the oceans,
