insane conspiracy theories believed happened with the Malaysian Airlines "crash" in Ukraine
It is a true tragedy, especially with the large number of AIDS scientist that were killed. A serious blow to AIDS research. I think it was just some idiot with the trigger who decided s/he didn't like the plane flying close by.
Flight MH17: Conspiracy theories emerge over fate of downed plane
Put 10 conspiracy theorists in a room, give them a situation, and most likely none of them will agree.
The lack of a consensus among them pretty much rules them out.
there is always a conspiracy theory when something tragic happens, people are always looking for some logical conclusion when there isnt always one

well.... there was an airliner shot down, unless some single guy just randomly decided to do that; then technically there WAS a conspiracy.
Conspiracy or conspiracy theory has a very strange connotation to it these days.
Look up the definition of the word and drop your prejudiced ideas (built mainly from modern media).
In fact, I'd say conspiracy much more common than most people seem to think... Humans quite often plan their actions out ahead of time.
Laughing at conspiracy is like laughing at murder... both are very real and unfortunately happen every day.
con•spir•a•cy (kn-spîr-s)n. pl.con•spir•a•cies
1. An agreement to perform together an illegal, wrongful, or subversive act.
2. A group of conspirators.
3. Law: An agreement between two or more persons to commit a crime or accomplish a legal purpose through illegal action.
4. A joining or acting together, as if by sinister design: a conspiracy of wind and tide that devastated coastal areas.
When two people decide to drive home from a bar after drinking, that is a conspiracy that happens probably hundreds of times a day here on these islands.
I'd say that conspiracy is so common, those that don't think it does should be laughed at for their naivety.
um, obviously there was an airliner shot down. i was speaking in general terms.
you know like 9/11 or kennedy

it seems unfair to the word "conspiracy" to involve things like "fantasy" theory...
Like thinking there's nazi's on the dark side of the moon isn't a conspiracy theory... it's a fantasy
or that Kennedy was killed by a magic bullet that turned mid air, went through people and bones and still came out whole and intact at the end.
or that the twin towers were brought down by energy beam weapons ... just fantasy, not conspiracy.
there's a very real conspiracy involved in the 9/11 thing... or at least thats what we heard on TV, that 14 (or some number) guys from Afghanistan took air planes and flew them into buildings.
and then there's the fantasy theory that the buildings were brought down by Israeli tactical nuclear bombs.
While I agree with you 100%, I tend to think of the cover up being the conspiracy.
The Daily Show did a take on this on the 21st - it's in the first segment, and Jon talks about how the Russians think the Dutch set them up. It would be hilarious if not for the seriousness of the situation. Again, I think it was just some trigger happy idiot at the low level with command of a few people, who just screwed up:
