Guns/ Concealed Weapons License
Violent people will always find a "tool" to use.
I say that we eliminate violent people. Give them one chance to change but if they commit two acts of violence against others then eliminate them.
In addition, I think that people who commit acts of violence against animals should go on a watch list. This is usually a precursor for acts of violence against other people.
Agreed with both 100%
What is a violent act against an animal? Eating it? Hunting it?
No SJW.
I had something more like this in mind.

Read the facts.
Since Illinois started granting concealed carry permits this year, the number of robberies that have led to arrests in Chicago has declined 20 percent from last year, according to police department statistics. Reports of burglary and motor vehicle theft are down 20 percent and 26 percent, respectively. In the first quarter, the city’s homicide rate was at a 56-year low.

This from another article.
The study by the Crime Prevention Research Center found that 11.1 million Americans now have permits to carry concealed weapons, up from 4.5 million in 2007. The 146 percent increase has come even as both murder and violent crime rates have dropped by 22 percent.
“When you allow people to carry concealed handguns, you see changes in the behavior of criminals," said the center’s president, John R. Lott,
Banning guns is NOT the answer.
FWIW I wouldn't believe anything coming out of the CPD.
Also, the time period is likely too short for any meaningful analysis (Correlation/Causation)
The UK tried to pass a law banning kitchen knives in 2010. Bad people with bad intentions will always find a way to get weapons and or do harm. I carry my gun and accept the risks with using it. I prefer those to being at the mercy of a sociopath while unarmed.
Ok. I'm just making sure I was going to still be able to fish and eat meat under your master plan.

You shall be allowed to fish and eat meat.

Good. My social justice warriorness hasn't extended to not eating meat, hunting, or fishing. Think of how many more points I could earn
That would make you truly legit. I was a vegan for 3 years. I felt great but it was really hard to eat anything that tasted good. I switched back to being an everything-eterian.

Omnivore 😉
its kinda how we were made to be
Agreed. Happy Thanksgiving!
Hello everyone. I hate to wake up a new thread, but after doing little searching on the forum this seems to be the most relevant thread.
My first question is, has any thing changed to make it easier to own fire arms in St. Thomas? My wife and I are relocating at the end of September and in preparation for the move I need to know what to do with my current firearms. I have 2 long rifles and a hand gun. If I need to leave them state side with family I will. But, if I don't have to then I would like to keep them with me.
Any links to info, numbers to call or personal experience would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Hope this helps, Doc: USVI Gun Law
Apparently updated 1 July. Please be aware that if you bring your weapons before getting licensed/registered, you must turn them over to VIPD, and if your license application is refused, VIPD keeps the weapons.
Awesome Thanks!!
The so called "Ban on guns" will only work with law abiding citizens... The criminals wouldn't obey that ban and will always find a way to obtain guns illegally.. The city of Chicag has one of the most stringent gun laws in the US, yet it has the highest crime rate in the nation and the highest crime rate committed with guns. The criminals committing th murderers there with guns wouldn't neve been able to purchase guns legally. That is why they are criminals, because laws do not apply to them... I actually brought the guns subject once before and I was told by many members here to leave my "Arsenal" home... No need to bring guns here...
Thank you rotor Head!
Jeez, that could be too late!
