Finally - national security letters ruled unconstitutional
Another badly written news article, quote "...a stunning defeat for the Obama administration’s surveillance practices..."
If these NSL's are part of the Patriot Act, and the government has been issuing them since 2003, why would the author state it as being critical of the Obama administration? Wouldn't it be more unbiased and factual to state "the governments surveillance practices"?
Some "journalists" just can't report the facts without looking for a slant to stir up controversy. Whatever happened to ethics?

Obama has done worse than the patriot act with the NDA (Naitonal Defense Authorizatoin act http://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/2012/01/02/president-obama-signed-the-national-defense-authorization-act-now-what/)
and since he actively uses NSL's and is the current POTUS, I'd say it's a very accurate statement.
This current figure head is just as bad as the last figure head... if your getting slapped by the right hand does getting slapped by the left hand seem like a good alternative? Voters seem to think so, I bet next election "we" choose to get slapped by the right hand again.
I'm not a huge fan of the misnamed 'patriot act' by any means. There is still no reason to make NSL's another 'Obama' issue.
Lets look at the FACTS (from the table in the article).
Total NSL's for period 2003 through 2011: 289,633
Average per year prior to Obama administration taking office: 39008 (rounded)
Average per year during Obama administration: 18528
So during the current administration average annual issuance of NSL's has decreased based on actual numbers by 53%.
To repeat, this is a government problem not specifically an Obama administration issue.
And no, I'm not out to defend the guy, I'm just sick of any so called journalists twisting the facts toward either party. It's a shame because in the past when I've read articles from Wired I've enjoyed the content.
