ecigs
I'm using White Cloud which I buy online - good product and prompt delivery - and so far am happy with them although I'm always open to looking at others so will check out some which have been mentioned here. Two stems are provided in the kit and when one starts to die down it just plugs into my computer via a USB connection and quickly recharges.
As far as using them in general, what an incredible relief. I smoked regular cigs for decades, quit and started again many, many times and accept the fact that I'm a nicotine and "puffing" addict. The e-cigs have made a huge difference in my life. No more ghastly coughing, no more shortness of breath; my clothes don't stink any more, my house doesn't stink any more, I don't stink any more and my facial pallor is so much healthier! One of my neighbors smokes and every morning I hear him go through half an hour of that whole hacking, throat clearing and spitting routine which is so gross. I never did like the smell and was forever emptying ashtrays and even spraying myself with OdorBan and similar to get rid of the stink!
I'm far more aware of people who smoke now (the senses of smell and taste definitely are more acute) and smelling the stale odor all over someone I'm standing close to is pretty nasty. I have a friend who smokes a lot and I can't even stand the smell of his car which reeks of it. It's always been said that a reformed smoker is the most critical but, once you're over it, you can't help it that it makes your stomach churn!
it is good to know about the general healthier feeling also. report on the news this am that said these actually help people quit smoking. my goal
I wasn't even trying to quit. I just wanted to see what the ecigs were like. I got mine on a Wed afternoon and loaded it up with a yummy caramel tobacco flavor. When I woke up on Thurs morning, it was the caramel that I wanted - not the ciggie. Just that simple.
i got them in today, the ecig is heavier but otherwise, pretty cool. my non smoking hubby even tried the vanilla and clove flavors. the regular flavors are not bad either.
Very happy with mine. You don't get the burning flavor (which I admit I originally missed). But the fact that I can swap out for blueberry or chocolate, instead of tobacco flavor, every once in a while makes up for it. I also like the fact that I don't feel like I have to finish a whole cigarette at once, so I don't waste it . Oh, and I love the way my car smells now. Not to mention my clothes.
my hubby said my breath does not smell and my clothes and hair dont either. he says i smell good now. so far doing good. it has only been two days but still liking them.
i had to show off yesterday at work.
Reviving an older thread with a question - does anyone know where I can buy ecigs on STT? I only smoke one a day (one cartridge, that is) but my USB charger fell apart and I'll have to wait for several days for a replacement to arrive. If anyone knows who (if anyone) sells the disposables here I can grab a pack to tide me over. Thanks!
i saw them at cost u less on stx-try them on stt and see if they do too
Thanks - I'll take a look tomorrow. Spoke to the people at the tobacco store in Port of Sale and they also carry them and are expecting a bunch more in tomorrow's mail so I'll check them out as well.
good luck 🙂
Just an update. I wasn't able to get to the tobacco store in Havensight but their quoted price of $11-$13 EACH for a disposable is something I'm going to have to look into further. There is one outfit which apparently has made retail inroads here at CostULess and several smaller grocery/convenience stores. The brand name is "MISTIC" and they're a total rip-off.
The whole set-up at the CUL on STT was totally confusing with a jumbled bunch of products set up high and apparently no "starter kits" with a USB charger included to complement the vast array of cartridges available which, without the basic chargeable stem are useless. The "throwaways" are $4.99 apiece. Total complete rip-off which I suckered up and bought. That $4.99 little disposable vapor cig comes in a cute little package, has an inviting little "soft" tip - and is equivalent to less than one regular cigarette. $5 for one cigarette?
I'm all over the e-cigs and, after having been a real-cig smoker for 50+ years, I am so thrilled to be finally all over that accompanying nastiness. Interestingly enough and even though I very quickly adapted to the e-cigs I opted to use (one cartridge equal to one pack a day but without all the crappy additives) my need lessens all the time. I have a feeling that maybe perhaps even the e-cigs won't be something I continue to need. But it's really of little concern. Hacking/coughing is done with and old dogs can most definitely learn new tricks.
Cheers!
Step up to one of the big boys and stop buying cartridges. Mix your own juice. My supplies only cost me about $4/month and this thing kicks like a mule 🙂
