Disturbing
Kutmus told the court that hours before the shooting, Gretchen Crooks had taken away her son's video game controller because of his bad grades in school.
Hmm,, I wonder if any drugs were being given for his " Intermittent Explosive Disorder.....or LOTS of drugs?
SSRI inhibitors maybe? (Prozac) haven't we learned that these drugs do very bad things often enough to not use them anymore?
LOTS of different drugs do very bad things, not just SSRI's. And can we honestly say that the bad SSRI's may do outweighs the good they may do? The NRA makes such claims and I think that is incredibly irresponsible. I was on one SSRI or the other from 1999 until November 2012, and though I am not a fan of them, I *do* think that they can be of help to some people. I got off all neuro drugs in 2012 b/c I lost my insurance when I moved here. After I had a stroke in March, I am now back on a few drugs again (no SSRIs, but anti-anxiety + bloodthinner + mood stabilizer). Better living through pharmaceuticals, right? For me, it's (the sad?) truth.

Well I'm sorry to hear of your troubles iguana, I have a few suggestions (that I'm sure will be perhaps briefly interesting but you'll ignore in the end, haha)
Kava-kava for anti-anxiety (make a tea out of it or buy extracts, tea is the much cheaper method) this will take care of anxiety + mood stabilization in a legal mannor, if you care more about your health than words written on paper I'd look into Cannabis as an alternate (lower more frequent dose, consumed oraly).
Blood thinners (Turmeric is my favorite, it's also a powerful anti-inflamitory agent, and inflamation is the root cause of a lot of issues in the human body)
Turmeric
Used in Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese Medicine for thousands of years, the richly golden spice turmeric is hailed for it's ability to reduce pain and inflammation. Recent studies have revealed that its pain-killing properties compare with those of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, or NSAIDs; however, turmeric does not cause the internal bleeding and digestive upset or toxicity to the liver that is found in some cases of individuals taking NSAIDs.Bromelain
Bromelain is an enzyme found in pineapples that also has anti-inflammatory properties and is especially helpful in reducing pain and stiffness associated with arthritis when taken on an empty stomach. Its action is enhanced when taken in combination with turmeric and ginger. Additionally, bromelain is a wonderful digestive enzyme when taken with meals and helps break down proteins, protecting against the formation of uric acid crystals, which are responsible for causing gout and certain types of kidney stones.Ginger
Ginger is one of the royal ancient spices of India, China and Japan whose action works to reduce inflammation of the joints and muscles as well as strengthening the immune system and reducing digestive upsets and vomiting. Ginger has been used medicinally for thousands of years and is most effective when used raw in a hot tea; however, it is also helpful when taken in powdered supplements.Garlic
A favorite spice for many people -- and a popular healing agent around the world -- garlic is not only a potent anti-inflammatory herb, but has proven antimicrobial, antifungal and antiviral properties. Eating garlic raw or lightly cooked, or making garlic tea are several of the most effective methods for its medicinal use. Odorless, freeze-dried supplements are available for those who prefer to avoid the strong scent on their breath.Water
Simple, plain and life's staple, water is perhaps one of the best blood thinners available. Allowing yourself to become dehydrated thickens the blood, causing it to clump together and form clots. Drinking enough clear, clean water each day helps keep the blood running smoothly through your circulatory and cardiovascular system, maintaining good health. The ideal daily intake for each individual is 1/2 ounce of water for each pound of body weight; in other words, if you weight 150 pounds, you should ideally drink 75 ounces of water daily. All of these substances have the power to thin the blood. There are other foods as well, such as vitamins B-6, D and E, omega-3 fatty acids, apple cider vinegar and strawberries that act as blood-thinning agents; and when used judiciously under the supervision of your health practitioner, may keep you healthy longer, prevent strokes and blood clots and help keep you off drugs and out of the hospital.

The pharm. companies haven't been around that long, not nearly as long as humans have, and all they do is mimic (often very poorly) what nature has been doing for millions of years.
But you see, I do not "believe in" modern "medicine" or it's strange bed fellow "big pharma".
A 2000 Institute of Medicine report estimated that medical errors are estimated to result in about between 44,000 and 98,000 preventable deaths and 1,000,000 excess injuries each year in U.S. hospitals.A 2006 follow-up to the IOM study found that medication errors are among the most common medical mistakes, harming at least 1.5 million people every year. According to the study, 400,000 preventable drug-related injuries occur each year in hospitals, 800,000 in long-term care settings, and roughly 530,000 among Medicare recipients in outpatient clinics. The report stated that these are likely to be conservative estimates.
Make sure you stay educated on what you are told you "should" be taking... those are powerful pills they like to pump into you.
