Too me and obviously millions of others it was the only choice as compared to a pathetic alternative.
Some people are sick of the far left and the political correctness that has become our way of life.

And yet you cry like a baby when someone points out to you that people should be judged not by their gender or the color of their skin, but by their history and achievements.

I am certainly willing to give Donald Trump a chance to make our country the place that my family fought and died to defend over the past 250 years.

You are a liar. No honorable service person in the history of this nation fought for a future which the commander in chief is a veteran-shaming, woman-groping, shirker and conman. Either you have failed to understand your ancestor's service or you have invented them to make a pretense of your patriotism. Yankee doodle dandy.

Who will do it next time?
The crying malcontents that weren't taught respect anything? The geniuses at the Ivy league schools?

Those you call geniuses and malcontents showed a respect for the system and for a diversity of thought. If they are given the chance, they won't make that mistake again.

I think maybe the crying should be kept to a dull roar and let's see what happens.
Plenty of people kept there [sic] mouth shut and patiently waited for an opportunity for change...

LOL that's funny.

...Now it's here and their [sic again] is nothing that the far left can do about it but cry.

Here's the thing: the far left wanted Hillary to lose far more than the right wanted Trump to win. The result is that extremist minority won and moderate majority lost, with what appears now to have been a great deal of help from outside. To frame this election as a struggle between right and left is to play into a distraction that will cost you dearly.

What was it our first lady said?
"When they take the low road. We take the high road"
Yeah sure they do.

So far they have. We'll see how long that lasts.

This tickled my funny bone, given that trump went to an Ivy League school. So did Ivanka, Donald Jr, and Tiffany.

Trump Taps Climate Change Denier for Secretary of Interior

If approved by the Senate, Cathy McMorris Rogers would oversee energy resource development on public lands.

When did I do that? What makes you believe that I think that way?

My point was,
Next time this country is in a jam and our freedom has to be defended on a large scale, are there enough left too selflessly sacrifice their own lives for the greater good of others? In the past it was done without hesitation.
Really I don't think Mr. Trump's grandchildren or Mr. Obama's will be required to serve but I'm sure all of ours will. Hopefully it will never come to that.

And yet you voted for Trump with little understanding that the internal threat of autocracy is a greater threat to the American constitutional government than any external one ever imagined.

My father was a Goldwater republican, a WW II combat veteran and a construction worker. He challenged his children, then his grandchildren, to never join the military and get great educations.

We did get great educations and we'll never join the military - so don't include me in your everybody but the elite end up in the trenches BS. Some families learn from history.

Safe to say none of us voted for Trump.

The only time I see ridiculous threats of violence (inferred or direct) over a conversation is from the local kids in the projects, are you in W.D. right now?

Honestly, I feel it was a personal attack based purely on my views. None of what I have ever posted should lead anyone to believe that I am a racist or have judged anyone based on ethnicity or gender. Nor will I give benefit of the doubt based on gender or ethnicity.
And too say that I lied about my own or my
families military service is totally outrageous.
I have tried to keep a positive attitude about each incoming President, and will continue too do so.
The bottom line is Donald Trump will be our next President like it or not. I will support him and hope that he does a great job. Maybe he can bring some prosperity to our islands and our country. The current administration has had eight years. Trump deserves a chance after being elected President based on our constitution. The way that we elect a president will not change. It was set up that way so the entire country has a voice. That being said, I will continue my participation in a non political manner. Some of your ideas regarding other things have been of great value to me. Thank you for that.

I did see your point the first time around. Just wanted to point out that your generalization was a distraction from it. . .

And regarding your point, the current and real dismissal and trivialization of genuine concerns of your fellow citizens by calling them crybabies and whiners, and putting them in a "typical" box, let alone disparaging the well-educated, is of much more major concern to me than any perilous, speculative jam we may find ourselves in in the future. Our citizens from all walks of life, and of all political ideologies, have risen up and defended the country in the past. I have no doubt we would do it in the future.

Maybe if you stopped your 3rd grade taunts long enough to address the underlying issues, I could take you seriously.

btw, historical tidbit: Several of our founders attended Harvard, and what are now Princeton and Columbia. They served their country well, methinks.

I have tried to keep a positive attitude about each incoming President, and will continue too do so.

That's really the best approach.

I highly doubt the predictions of EITHER side will come true, as with most things; the truth is somewhere in between.

However, I am a bit optimistic about one thing; here is taxation over the oct/nov 2016:

I keep hearing he's going to change our trade deals, and the way you change them is by upping that left column (so we can hopefully lower that right column... haha)

Yes it does!

And it's about time that the republicans stood up for America instead of their own self-serving interests.

You've got a president elect who has an incredible amount of conflicts of interest, has not shown any transparency with regard to his taxes, debts, affiliations with foreign countries, has maligned women, the disabled, ethnic races, spewed hateful rhetoric throughout his campaign, is ignorant of foreign policy and protocol, ignorantly twitters against his imagined critics, creating chaos, including for an 18 year old girl that asked a question at a rally who is now receiving death and rape threats from his fanatic followers, has already broken promises he made on the campaign trail, is filling the swamp with wall street and more self interested parasitical monsters completely inappropriate for the posts, and has not yet resolved the conflicts by putting his companies in a BLIND TRUST, his buddy/ businesses partner in Turkey whom he praised, has been arrested to be used as a pawn, we've got Russian hacking in a presidential election that McConnell knew about back in September and did NOTHING about, ( maybe because his wife shall be the new transportation minister for whom he will not recuse himself from voting for), FBI (republican) interference just days prior to the election, we've got the idiot talking with Taiwan, getting the Chinese crazy, he's not taking daily intelligence briefings because he's "so smart," he doesn't have a clue about the constitution, he's willing to ignore the CIA report, due to his own self interest and the list goes on and on.

I'm not being a cry baby or a whiner. I'm incensed.
You should be, too.
#notmypresident..EVER!

Had Clinton done any of the above...republicans would have been screaming for impeachment, recall, investigations, ad nauseam.

Buncha FRIGGING hypocrites.

Now this?

Wow!
Everyone should go back to where they come from and leave America to the Indians to whom it belongs.
I've never heard such trash.
If that's what you believe rotor, I'm disgusted.

Obama's legacy is that he is and was a true leader, not a conniving reprehensible asshole. (Whoops)

Who on this planet did not migrate from somewhere else?
If that's how you feel maybe you don't belong.

And I'm sure that the majority of scientists that believe we should have clean water, air, lands and oceans are conspiring against us.

The above posts from rotorhead contain video clips without written references to their originators. From reading the VI moving forums rules, I don't think the above posts are in accordance with these rules.

Even if the originator is somewhere included in the video, I don't think I should be required to watch this content to find out.

I'm not offended saddened perhaps. I want to know the source of the videos as required by the rules of the forum prior to choosing whether or not to view. It also has something to do with copyright laws. This is a great discussion and citing sources helps it continue.

Who said you are required to do anything?

I find running to the authorities one of the most despicable things possible when in a debate... You lost some major points with me on this one.

Youtube does NOT allow copyright violations, they are rather harsh about it...

Here's the section of hte rules you are referencing:

Material protected by copyright may not be posted without the expressed permission of the copyright owner. When paraphrasing another work, cite the original source whenever possible. Quotes from and links to other web sites must not violate the rules of VIMovingCenter or the rules of the website being quoted or linked.

And it totally does NOT apply (you cannot paraphrase a video... & linking to the video creators YOUTUBE page IS citing the original)

This is a typical tactic of Statists who prefer to use a monopoly of force to get their way, even when it's over something as ridiculous as a verbal disagreement.

This type of attitude is a poison to communities & a part of why society has issues.
