It's kind of like that 'terms of use' box that we all blindly click when installing new software. After being included in the recent etiquette sweep I decided to read the rules. Seems as if club snarky will need to be permanently disbanded, and if I really have to limit sarcastic remarks then I guess my creative and humorous comments will be curtailed, and I'll be down to one post a week! 😎

or maybe you just need to get more subtle/creative with them?

The question that was asked before the bombers’ identities were known was what philosophy, ideology or system of beliefs caused them to act. CNN and MSNBC immediately speculated about “right-wing nutcases” and tea partyers. As of 2013, the number of terrorist attacks involving members of the tea party is precisely zero. The last major terrorist attack that had even the slightest link to anything on the political right was Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh in 1995. Described as a devout Christian and Republican, he was neither.

Conversely, most major terrorist attacks in the United States and Europe in the last 20 years have been motivated by radical Islam. This fact is ideologically uncomfortable for some people, forcing them into imitations of ostriches. Defenders of radical Islam immediately point out that it is unfair to blame one billion Muslims for the actions of terrorists.

Let’s be very clear: Not all Muslims are being blamed. All Muslims are not terrorists. However, most terrorists are Muslims.

Well.... I'll give you the part about the Tea partiers. As I suspect (based upon the Tea Partiers I know personally) that most of these folks are more inclined to sit at home and yell at the TV then create mayhem.
But are the dudes bombing abortion clinics Terrorists? Are they Christians?
Terrorism works. Just look at all the attention these two a-holes enjoyed. A solid week of 24/7 news coverage. Boston (of all places) on "LOCKDOWN" two days of no public transport, no work, a full fledged man-hunt. Ironically, the bad-boy was found by an average-joe who defied the stupid "sheleter in Place" warning and stepped out for a smoke. The media, the government gave these clowns exactly what they wanted, attention.

Just to play devils advocate.....

I find it interesting how it's instantly assumed that the people on TV are the ones who "did it"... we have been presented zero evidence other than some footage that shows them at the run (which I'm sure thousands were).

innocent until proven guilty is clearly a thing of the past....

When is the facist fruit punch being served, or is it just more koolaid?

Yeah, I hear ya. What happened to using the term "alleged" or "suspected". I'm just glad he was captured alive. The victims deserve a good old, fair and square american trial. I' hope to to see him tried and convicted and sentenced.

I also found it weird that cops delayed mirandizing him. I suppose it was a technique to get him to talk without fear of incrimination. But, with the whole world watching, you'd think they play it by the book. Show 'em what american justice is all about.

They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

“Naturally, the common people don't want war; neither in Russia nor in England nor in America nor, for that matter, in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy or a fascist dictatorship or a Parliament or a Communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country.”

Hermann Goring

Not saying this is what is happening. That would be irresponsible of me, but it does hold truth.

What???!!?? The terrorist will just have to wear dropy drawers and shove the bombs inside their shorts. Or maybe up inside the big hat. Coconut bombs. What a stupid waste of resources and time and money.

With all the nonsense that goes down, you'd think the cops would be more concerned with the likely hood of a daytime shoot-out.

I know that volunteers have been told not to bring backpacks, fanny packs or other bags. They must carry everything they need in their pockets.

How is this for derp?

The New Hampshire state legislator who has said the federal government caused the Boston Marathon bombing claimed proof in a victim who lost both legs and "was not in pain."

State Rep. Stella Tremblay (R-Auburn) told a conservative talk show host Tuesday that she knows the federal government was behind the attacks because Jeff Bauman, a bombing victim who helped identify the suspects, was not "screaming in agony" after both his legs were blown off. Tremblay made the comments on The Pete Santilli Show, first reported by miscellanyblue.com, a liberal-leaning website, on Wednesday.

I've trained a lot for hand to hand combat, and knife fighting.

Know where your first cut goes to end a fight quickly? the femoral artery, right on the inside of your leg is one of the biggest arteries in your body; cut one and you'll bleed out in 3 min or less, cut two and you'll live for about 1 min.

Arterial bleeding is very unique, it "spurts" out in pulses with your heart beat & is very messy.

Now I understand tissue shock can help staunch bleeding, but not completely & especially not with the biggest arteries in your body not just cut, but torn, blown open (which would cause a faster bleed out). This is the exact stuff we train for pre-deployment, these are the types of injuries that we see now.

With all that said, this photo is just a little bit curious especially when you consider how long it took to get him on a wheel chair & no visible tourniquets??

I could see how people make "wild" statements based on what has been shown to us of the Boston bombing; I would not publicaly state that however, I'm not convinced of anything at this point, so I suppose that could count as a "derp" moment.
