Drumroll please..... I have decided to go big for my 35th birthday this year and go Great White shark diving in South Africa! WOOT! ()
Our dives are in Cape Town and we will be in SA for a couple weeks. I have no clue other than research online what to do, seeing the penguins would be great and of course we want to safari and see the big 5. I would LOVE to go to Krueger but its just too far from where the shark dives are so wondering if anyone here as been to that area and what companies you'd suggest. THANKS!

My friends returned last year from S. Africa tour. They all agree Cape town was best part and also the coast on the west side. Theft is still a BIG issue. You leave it, you lose it. They never felt physically threatened but did have some other issues including tires disappear from rental car, lunch cooler filled with wine and food taken from beach. Tent camping not advised in remote sites (not just in South Africa but anywhere)). Scenery was fantastic, people warm, food good and prices moderate. It's on my list of Go to places.

My niece is there now visiting with hubby and kids.
He is from south Africa and still has lots of family and friends there.
All the pics she is sending back are beautiful. I commented to her how clean everything looks. (No litter or trash along the roadsides.)
It's winter there right now so everyone is bundled up and wearing sweaters. They would prefer to go in summer months there but this is when they can visit for a couple months since kids are out of school.
They are loving it and there is plenty to do.

My dogs are from S africa....
anychance you could bring back a puppy for me while your there?
we are trying to preserve the South African Boerboel and would love a blood line from S Africa instead of the stuff that is present in the states.
