Recently, my yahoo mail (on mac mail) has been popping up a sign in box for everything I try to reply to or send new mail. After searching yahoo for my log in activity I found the dozens of times I logged in today which was done by: Yahoo! Partner's Application. Can't find a good explanation for it on yahoo.

Anyone had a similar experience? If so, How'd you combat it?

Did you try shutting your computer done and restarting it?
You can also try going back to a recovery date prior to when you started receiving the messages. Or you can email them

Good luck!

I searched yahoo, apple and neither has been able to provide an acceptable answer. I have friends in the states and here who have lost use of their emails. Is it a hack job? I don't know. If there is someone out there who has problems (on their mac mail) with yahoo I would like to know about it.

Thank you.

You authorized some Yahoo partner (e.g. Facebook, Flickr, Yahoo Partner Application, etc) access to your Yahoo account through Yahoo's partner software. If you posted on some non-Yahoo site but were allowed to use your Yahoo account to post with then you allowed some Yahoo partner access to send emails from your Yahoo account. To disable it, log into your Yahoo account, go to Account Info, then look under the Sign-In and Security section and click the Manage Apps and Website Connections link. You will see websites and applications that you have authorized to access your Yahoo! account. This means these sites and applications can use information from your Yahoo! account (like send email) to support their specific services or functionality. Delete the entries there.
