Hello All,

I am lost as to where to start. My brother-in-law has a coworker that flew to STT a week ago Saturday to go on a week long charter with his wife and in-laws. They were due to fly back home last Saturday. As of today they have not returned home. I am trying to find info as to whether or not any charters leaving STT did not make it back on time or have not made it back yet. Does anyone know where I could start looking? I checked the papers and didn't see anything about a missing boat or such. We were called since they did not know anyone else who lived on STT or who to contact. The missing party have not contacted their work nor the people caring for their pets. I have a name, but no other info as of yet. I appreciate any help.

Hello Teresa,

Have you tried Pamela? Do you know the name of the boat they were going to be on?

Hello Islander,

I left a message for Pamela and we do not know what charter they took as of yet. I have his name, but not much else to go on. This 'search' has just begun as he wasn't considered missing until this afternoon when co-workers began to try to contact him. Most likely he hasn't left STT since he hasn't returned home yet. It was assumed that he would have called work if he was delayed, so it is beginning to be a mystery. I will post if this is in anyway resolved. I just am having a hard time finding info as we are not relatives and don't have much to go on.

Teresa,
I called and left a message for you. His name was not clear on the message you left. Send me, or call me, with his last name and I will have the clearing houses check to see if he went on a charter out of here and the status. Must have the last name. If it was a bareboat charter, I can contact them as well. Think good thoughts.

Thanks Pamela and Islander,

So the story ends with the police finding him coming home and wondering what is going on. Apparantly he thought it okay to stay a few extra days and not bother telling anyone. His neighbors were furious as was his coworkers. He was with his family so the police were having a hard time finding people who knew where he went exactly. He is pretty humbled finding out that people were looking for him on STT. All that and I still want to know what charter he was on so I can clear my mind. However, I am just happy that it turned out well. Vacationers should really leave info behind with more than one person.

Pamela,

While researching for this guy, I saw an article where the coast guard had found a beacon or something that was emitting a signal for a charter boat. They didn't find anyone nor the boat. Do you know how that turned out? It happened in June. Just curious since I ran across it.

Hadn't heard anything ... I will ask USCG next time I am talking to them. Glad your friend was found.

Pamela,

This is the story I was referring too. Maybe not a charter, sorry. I was searching so fast and quickly at the time for anything missing that I didn't read details correctly. But anyway, I still wonder if the boat was ever found.

Yes, they found them. Was one of those red faced "oops, my beacon fell overboard". All is well. Call you this weekend. Am in needof children and a beach.
