Who will ship small appliances to STT
Spent whole day trying to order a small stick-style upright vacuum. Walmart, Target, Amazon, all DO NOT ship this type of item to STT. Any ideas??
Get a vacuum that plugs in. The problem is the battery.
Ship to a freight forwarder in FL like the one that advertise on this page.
@gators_mom I actually did try to order corded ones as well with no takers for VI address anyway.
Hmmm. I have bought them from Amazon successfully? Specifically the Tineco model (which I really like). When I run into items that won’t ship I try eBay. A lot of the sellers will ship items here bigger retails will not.
Amazon - filter for international shipping.
Almost every mainland company will ship to St. Thomas Cargo in Florida.
So simple and inexpensive.
@stjohnjulie How long ago did u get your vac. It seemed like every one I tried to order was either “unavailable” or “ unable to order until further notice” when I gave my zip code. Perhaps supply chain issue? Can’t figure it out🙄
I just went on Amazon to see if I could try and reorder the two vacs I have and I can. I have a personal and a business account and I have noticed that there are differences in what will shop between the two. But I have no idea why. My personal account has over a dozen saved ship to addresses in it. The default is always my VI address. But maybe that makes a difference in some way? Maybe you could try that?
I know a lot of people shy away from eBay but I have had almost all positive experiences buying off of eBay. I do all the ordering and logistics for my company so I’m buying all sorts of things all the time.
@stjohnjulie You know I did use StThomas as my default address, and now no matter what I select from either pet beds to pet food to vacuums I still get unavailable, or unable to get until further notice. If I change to my daughter in laws’s in Massachusetts, suddenly the item is in stock. Very weird.
Amazon plays games showing items unavailable when the ship to address is the VI. Sometimes it will simply show unable to ship to your address, for other items it will show unavailable and we don't know if/when it will be back. Change the ship to address on the item page to FL to see reality.
I have definitely seen differences in availability between business account and non-business as well.
@LinZBB were you able to add a vac to the cart the. Switch the address at check out to your VI address and checkout? Sometimes that works for me. Or you could also try setting up a new account if you have an alternate email address. Both of the cordless vacs I bought in the last year were only ‘available’ on my personal account. I couldn’t get them on my business account. I make an average of 30 orders (of multiple items) a month on Amazon. I wonder if they are giving me special treatment because of the volume of purchasing I do? I also have Prime in my personal account and an Amazon Rewards Business Visa card.
