Where's Captain Jay?

Sorry Trade it's been a little hectic and as you know the Internet connection here isn't always up and is rarely quick. We are just about settled in. We will be in the temporary apartment here at UVI until the end of the month. We will then be renting/house sitting for some friends. Deb and I both started working yesterday. Her first day at UVI and I took a job at CYOA Yacht Charters in French Town. Although not as entertaining as some posts, I have to say almost all of our experiences to date have been positive. We got through the bank account thing in a little over an hour, mainly due to prior research allot of it here so we had the right paperwork, and cash to deposit. We bought a used car from Toyota of St Thomas, again from referrals from here and some personal friends on the island. The DMV wasn't even that bad under an hour and a half to change over our licenses. The car registration was handled by the dealer so we won't have to deal with that until the October inspection is due. I have to say advanced planning and research and a little common sense as to your expectations have been very valuable resources for the move. If I haven't said so before I will now thanks to everyone that has provided us with information over the last couple of years while we planned the move. I will try to return the favor in the future.

Well, glad to hear it's working well for you. Sounds like you've made the biggest hurdles so far so hope your luck keeps holding (or at least your patience.) At least at work you're surrounded by good places to have lunch. 🙂
