I know it limits your choices but the store in 4 Winds, I cannot recommend either.
If you want quality items best to check Aego. You may have to order what you want but it will be better quality and last substantially longer than anything you will buy at the Arab stores which are plentiful.

If you don't mind paying a hefty price tag, go to Silk Greenery.
House sales really are the best if you do not want to wait for shipping and delivery.

You guys should set up a freecyle type group. I am one one here in IL its called freeportgroup you can list buy, sell, trade, garage, sales, estate sales, store closings, wanted, offers, barter, events. It is not as ridged as freecycle groups are. You can set it up in yahoogroups. You can title it anyway you want. Easier than facebook, fast and private replies.

That way you can get things quickly in many ways and help keep things recycling too. Just a thought. You could make one for each island. I am not there yet nor have I visited yet so I can't really help moderate the groups but after I have visited and know whats up and make the move over if I am medcially able to I could. Just have the people post the island abrevation and what the topic is so like -

"STT - wanted barely used crib and jogging stroller in Bugsy Bay Area" Then post more info and contact in the message body

If you already have this going excuse me...I haven't tapped into all whats going on there yet. What is the trader a publication or an online thing?

The Island Trader is a free weekly advertising newspaper which comes out in hard copy every Thursday and is available in most stores. It's an invaluable resource for items for sale, rentals, real estate, community events and "island happenings". It's also available online through a link at the Virgin Islands Daily News website but I don't find it all easy to navigate.

This site (VINow) also has an active classified section and craigslist usvi is also gaining more popularity.
