When I arrive on island (St. Thomas) I will be looking for a room rental. Where can I find listings for such properties, before coming over if possible?

Tammy: I hope you will spend some time reading the archives here and the information available on the home page. Islander has done a wonderful job of organizing a great deal of "stuff you need to know" on this site. You will find that it is difficult to get jobs and rentals from "up there" because you are not a real true entity until you appear in person. Find something short term, bring enough money to keep yourself afloat for a couple of months while you are settling in.

So far I have come across the Villa Fairview at a cost of $650/month plus 1 month security.
I have moved between PA and FL several times and do not mind renting a single room or efficiency unit.
And I surely know to bring enough to eat off while searching for work!
Thanks for the tips.

Yes, today's Island Trader had more apts for rent than I can remember seeing in quite some time.
