Where to find rental information?
Trying to find the best way to find a reasonable rental property locally. I know reasonable is subjective 🙂
My kid (late 20s) is in the process of relocation to STX for work. Last minute move so I am helping from the back end.
Looking for a single bedroom that is firearm friendly. (Yes, we know the rules) because of this, it cannot be a shared ie roomie situation ect.
Are their any local sources on the island? I understand that rentals are high but everything we are seeing on is geared towards vacationers or way over the top prices for little more than a closet. We have been told that there are reasonably priced places but you "just have to know where to look"
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

We became the Monaco of North America. Reasonably priced rentals will be hard to find. One bedroom will easily bring $4000 a month in short term rental fees. Come September prices will drop.

Wow. I wonder where you get that price? There's a 1 bedroom house in downtown C'sted in Craig's list for $700.00.
Apartments are no different than jobs...most are found and filled by word of mouth.
As far as being the Monaco of North America, that's quite a stretch. We don't even have a Formula 1 race!
I'd call it the Chicago of the Caribbean!
@cruzaniron Yeah we were "warned away" from that one but appreciate the heads up
@STTsailor I do not knock folks for making money in any way shape or form. The issue with the prices falling in September is that then the owners of a lot of these places come over for their visits and so you cannot rent during certain months. Short term rentals or vacation rentals will not work.
Join a few st croix face book groups, there's rentals all the time listed, call a realtor, coldwell banker in gallows may have something or Chris Hanley.
Facebook groups are 'st. check in', 'st croix 00820, usvi', etc.

No Formula1 but I think we have a casino instead. I second Chicago. Lots of similarities.
@STTsailor we'll have a Formula 1 race in Miami next year! I've already put in for tickets!
