Hi all,
Can anyone recommend a place to take used clothing? I'm purging my closet. The clothing is mostly casual, lots of tees, some jeans, etc.
In the past (not here) I've had trouble donating such items-- the recipient organizations only wanted nicer things (weird, huh?)

Salvation Army on Backstreet will take them. Also, I believe that the Family Resource Center on Bunker Hill will too.

For those on STX with the same question, Caribbean Community Theatre is always looking for clothing that can be used in their plays.

Catholic Charities of the VI (CCVI) will accept your donations.
(-distribute clothing as needed to the homeless, low income and the working poor of the Virgin Islands community)
They also accept furniture and household items. Baby items as well.
