Where can I take my window screens to be fixed?
I have a few window screens that are torn. I have used Komo's in the past but they are closed. Is there somewhere else on island that fixes screens?
Bunkers across from Reliable Rentals on Hess Road does screen work and their prices were lower than other places I have had screens redone.
I used to do it in the states for a window company and have a splining wheel tool I use to redo my own screens and neighbors when needed. I live near F'sted if that's more convenient for you and am sure I can do it for less. PM if interested
The father or uncle of one of the girls who works at Glass 2000 in Five Corners repairs screens and slider. You can drop off your items at the glass store. He picks them up and returns them to the store when they are done.
I recently had a sliding screen door that needed work on the rollers. It was a simple repair that i didn't have the patience to do myself. He did it for no charge! (tu)
Bunkers of St. Croix does a really nice job at a reasonable price.
I'd never take my screens anywhere else.
What about on STT? My screen door is terrible shape!
My landlord uses Berry Screening on the northside for her apartments and between two kittens they haven't been able to screw them up. If you drive West on Hull Bay Rd you'll see a sign on your left near E&M.

We always used Glass 2000. Nice people and good work, at a very reasonable rate. My husband gave them the wrong measurements once for about 4-5 screens. Goofiest thing...the tape measure was off...never saw that before. Anyway, when we took them back, we told them it was our mistake, and they still did not charge us to fix them.

The tape measure was off? LOL Where did that come from? Screens are relatively easy to re-screen. Buy a spline roller and some screening and go for it. If you mess up, pull the screen material out and try again.
On STT you can also check prices at Jean Dragin's place on the Smith Bay Road if that's closer for you. Next door to the old Toad and Tart there's the apostolic church and you take that little road next to it (between the two speed bumps) and there's an entrance to his shop first left. There's a sign on the main road and you can't really miss it.
GlassRay's in Subbase as well.
wound up getting my screens done at Bunkers. they had great customer service, quality work and good prices. will go again.
