What's up with The Pickled Greek?
Anyone know if and when The Pickled Greek restaurant on STX will open. It used to be there was at least one car there all the time with someone working on the place. The last few times I've been by it was just closed up.

A couple of weeks ago the owner said that he anticipated two more months, that he was waiting on a couple parts and that he'd need those parts to get through inspection.
you can stop by and see Peter, the owner, tending bar at the Deepend Bar some days. He'll fill you in on the trials and tribulations of opening a restaurant on STX. He's just trying to keep hold of his chef during the long delay. After all the anticipation, it would truly stink if the chef were no longer available when the opening finally happens and they wind up serving food nobody wants to eat such as is apparently happening at Zizzlers.
i don't know what time you pass by here, but i have the red jeep that's usually out front. i took off saturday and sunday because i was exhausted. we're hopefully going to open with-in the next 6 weeks.

We gave Zizzlers more than one chance to get it right. The food off of the appetizer section was good and we made meals out of ordering two or three appetizers each. What was really horrible was the service. I realize that service on St. Croix is really, really, really lacking, but how many times do I have to get up and refill my own drink???
To 20 questions: please, please hire competant staff.
P.S. the night we went to Zizzlers, only a couple of tables were taken, no reason for the lack of service.
